…On The Crest Of A Wave…

I was feeling a little sad and blue,
So I went down to the beach this day,
I watched the wave's crash over the sea wall,
And it washed my blues away…
Upon the water, were wave's so great,
There I stood - in solitude was I…!
For the only sound that I could hear,
Were the sea splashing and the seagulls cry…!

I looked out into the distance,
As far as my eye could see,
Peace and tranquility all around,
The seagulls, the water and me!
So I cast my blues on the water,
And watched them engulfed in the sea,
Ebbing away on the tide so rough,
And contentment was all I could see.

The salt water cascaded around me,
Splashing all over my face…
And with every breath of the wind and water,
My sadness it did chase.
I didn't want to leave it…
Rather, I wanted to stay a while,
Because the feeling I get from the water,
Causes me to smile, and smile…

I lost myself in thought…
As I looked out into the wide, wide sea,
Imagining me floating in that water…
As contented as one could be!
The wave's got stronger and stronger,
And as feisty as it became…!
Still I stood with the wind in my face,
As the water cascaded like torrent rain.

On the crest of a wave my blues did roam,
Over the wide, wide sea…!
Into the opening ocean,
Far, far away from me!
And as my legs became more tired,
In as much as I wanted to stay…
I had to leave, minus my blues,
And return on another day.
