For What Purpose!People can be so very cruel, There is no excuse can be used, Not when pain is caused, so deep, By someone who's been abused! Vile, angry and hurtful words- Seem to be the order of the day, People cause so much heartache, Thinking that it's okay! For what purpose, if any! Because no matter the reason why, There is no excuse for causing such pain, That makes a person cry! Some things are said and it's hurtful, And no matter the apology given, One thing you can be sure of is... Like a stake in the heart it's driven! Then to add insult to injury! An excuse for what was said- Was just like adding salt to the wound, Because those words stay inside your head! I truly believe myself… That if something nasty is said- Deep down that person means it… The thought's there, in their head! So then, for what purpose...! Was it deliberately done? Was there even a purpose at all? Or was it spoken just for fun? But fun, at whose expense? Because be certain of one thing- Like a slap in the face, you'd feel it… Feel the memory of the sting! So before you hurt with words- Please, hold back and bite your tongue… Stave off the nasty that's inside your head, Because it's cruel and oh, so wrong!
