I Told Him!

I told Him that I'd never turn away from Him,
No matter the trials that occur,
Even if I really believe them!
To be so totally unfair!

You see, I'm a stubborn wotsit,
Well, I can't say the word,
Cos I gota be quite honest,
It aint a nice one to be heard!

Well, I guess it aint that bad,
And if you read me rhyme again,
Am sure you can think just what it is,
Oh dear me, the shame!

Anyway, now were was I?
Oh, yep, me little break!
I told Him - yep I did…
That me sanities all at stake!

I told Him if He didn't pull His socks up!
I was gona get in a mood!
And after all, when said and done,
I think that's very rude!

So I told Him, I did,
I said; ‘God, now listen to me!
Cos now am in a tizz with you!
Am not best pleased as you can see!'

‘Now listen here Catherine!'
Wow He really sounded mad!
‘What ye want!' I shouted back!
‘Cos I think rudeness is really bad!'

‘Right!'  He said; ‘That's it!
You're heading for a fall!
So you just get yerself focused!
And work it out, do your all!

Do your all to put this right!
And don't you shout at me!
Cos after all when said and done…
Am the icon here you see!'

‘Well God!' I said; ‘I'm sorry!'
That you are such a nark!
After all, I have to say!
Am sure I saw a spark!

Now by the time we finished out chat,
I was ready for bed once more,
And after all, when said and done,
I can chuck Him through the bedroom door!

But I didn't need to…
Cos we really do have a laugh!
Because we banter all the time,
God and that poet called Cath!
