Empty Portfolio

I like to kid myself,
and pretend you like me
take a picture of us together,
envision the wedding ring,
and the night when the Suns
being swallowed by the ocean,
and us running along together,
at the crest of her lips
and the time I recorded us picking berries,
by the trees in the park to eat
spreading out the grass to lay on,
seeing you makes a job complete,
and than pretend like
wed head home for the night,
check up on the kids,
and tuck em in tight
I remember once, staring up in the stars,
and one broke into a fire,
soaring into flight,
and its presence filled my body
the spirits within me,
and theres nothing Id rather have,
no wheres I wanna see
without your eyes,
beating with me
