Taking Up Your CrossLuke 14:25-33 Whoever goes to Christ and loves his kin, But of his discipleship shall not yet begin; As he also loves his life, can't suffer loss, For he is since unable to take up his cross. On building a tower you must have a plan, Consider a total cost with a good artisan; As all of the requirements having to meet, Look at a total picture length to complete. Of fear that once it starts how will it end, That the results will be just as you intend; And some may laugh since you might fail, For a technicality of building code detail. Or if a president prior to declaring a war, Confers the Pentagon before missiles soar; Or sends his diplomats for peaceful means, Before a bloody mess is on the TV screens. So whoever is ready to give up everything, And then is able to follow Christ the King; For the only way to be a disciple of Christ, If we are willing to be entirely sacrificed.
