A Racist?  No, Not Me!

I know that they are out there,
The ones with the narrow mind,
Who hate because of colour,
And bitterness is all they find!
When God made man he wanted…
Peace throughout the world,
He never said or hinted at…
Hatred towards colour to be unfurled!

But sadly unfurled it is…
And that is so sad a crime,
God wanted peace, not hatred,
Yet it's been there throughout time!
I wonder what He thinks and feels,
When He looks down to see…
How the world's population is doing,
Since He died to set us free!

Did He die in vain?
I hope not, for that's so sad!
How He suffered for our sins,
He wanted good, not bad!
And as I sail through life,
I see the hurt and pain…
Of prejudice and hatred,
Oh what a terrible shame!

Skin, it's only a colour…!
An organ that we need to survive,
The biggest in the body!
It helps keep us alive!
But along my way I see it…
The suffering and pain!
Tormenting because of colour!
Tell me, what is the gain?

All it does is creates much sadness,
And hurt, and strife and fear!
Does anyone know, can you tell me?
For to me, it's not at all clear!
I never see the colour,
It's the person's heart that I see,
You know, we should live our lives,
In goodness, peace and harmony!

Tell me, how hard is that?
To live a life with love all around!
And join as one, as it should be so,
Where happiness can be found!
Martin Luther King…
A very fine and respected man,
Died for his beliefs…
As only a man with much faith can!

He didn't die for nothing!
But more, for equal rights for all!
Yet what happened, but devastation!
The day he died and took that final fall!
There are many of us out there!
Who don't hate the colour of ones skin!
They take people as they are…
Black, white, fat or thin!

No-one has the right to judge,
Only the one who reigns above,
The one who offered his life for all,
To hope for peace, and caring, and love!
So look to the person today!
Not the colour, but the heart inside,
And let you not be of hatred to them,
But more, let it be love that you find!

For the God of love is all around,
Looking throughout the earth,
And hoping that one day…
People will see other peoples worth!
What is your life worth today?
Are you judged for your skin?
Think about it, ponder on it…
And let the love in your heart win!

A racist, no, not me!
For that's one thing I am without sin!
So please, for the love of God!
Don't let your hatred win!

*** All detrimental remarks ***
...Will be exterminated forthwith...

Don't you judge the cover of a book today!

Look to the heart, the mind, the person!

It's not about colour, religion, or gender

It's about the heart, the mind and the soul

It's about respect, caring, compassion!

It's about understanding!

But most of all - it's about love!

...Live and let live...

...Smile and the world smiles back...

*** Hate and you hate alone ***

Don't you be a racist today!!!

...Have a great day...
