hi this is a poem written for me by a wonderful poet and friend Nick Hawkins who read a silly poem I put on here about not being motivated.
Nick, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will treasure it always nana5 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Waiting For The Moment (“Waiting For The Moment” is about not trying too hard, but being patient with natural ability and letting life flow. This is for you.) Laying my pen flat on the desk And wiping the tears away, The pain had gone for the moment But would be back later that day. My mind was a total blank I couldn't find the want anymore, I wasn't able to script or lay out my rhyme As I threw my ink to the floor. Into the darkness I wandered Would I ever really return ? Were my 'rhymes' really numbered ? For any subject I'd yearned. I decided to take time from this battle To rest and find the light, Let the river flow from the streams Into the oceans throughout the night. My soul surfaced to smile Casting my bait in the sea of love, Sunlight discovered the right words Beaming down on me from above. All I needed to do…. Was to be honest in my lament, Let my thoughts relax and rest While waiting for the moment. ©2003 - Onwards Individual Authors of the Poetry. All rights reserved by Nick Hawkins Vote for this poem |
