Getting Out Of My Own Way
Is This theChild?
Is this the child?
The one who nearly took her mother's life.
Is this the child?
The one who brought such overwhelming strife.
Is this my babe?
The one who was such an incredible surprise.
Is this my babe?
The one who holds the sunlight in her eyes.
Is this my girl?
The one who was so tiny and frail.
Is this my girl?
The one that was so weak and pale.
Is this my daughter?
The one that is so smart and loyal.
Is this my daughter?
The young lady so beautiful and royal.
