Angelic Visions

Zechariah 4:1-7

An angel of the Lord once talked to me,
A little blurry eyed from feeling sleepy;
Still feeling drowsy, but finally awoke,
As he opened up his mouth and spoke.

He asked me just what was in my view,
I could see a candlestick of good value;
Made of pure gold with a cup at the tip,
With seven lamps that were along its lip.

A pipe was going to each and every light,
Nearly blinding me since being so bright;
I saw two olive trees on the right and left,
That stood like guards preventing a theft.

And I asked the angel what does it mean?
His reply as if the answer should be seen;
This is according to the Word of the Lord,
Not by any force or power of the sword.

Rather through God it is His Holy Spirit,
As you become the level that you exhibit;
For He shall allow all to see the headstone,
In crying for grace as you shout and moan.
