Summer EnchantmentSunbeams dance and play along the shore Keeping us company as we begin to explore, miles of shimmering sand and sparkling seas. Rich valleys are filled with fruit of the vine Summer season has offered her sign As we rest in the cool shade of a tree. Golden sun feels much warmer now as we begin to blot the top of our brow while listening to the sound of bees. Bees dance among all the flowers Before the sky opens for soothing showers Summer rains arrive to quench and please. Sweet visions within my mind now appear As the blessings of summer quickly draw near… A season of splendor, gazed upon with ease. Enticing scents are discovered this season That allows all life to rejoice with good reason Endlessly captivated by her fragrant breeze. Psalm 74:17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. Julie Pisacane © 2005 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
