The Man in the Mirror

What is it that we each want out of life?
We seem to want this and that!
And then time passes. Now it's too late
for this or that! We will have to accept
what's left in the proverbial hat.

What is left we ask?
Not near as much as before!
Yet, perhaps enough to make a tiny score.
Indecision and time has robbed us of our dreams.
Fault! Whose fault? Don't look at me!
You were there too!

You could have worked harder, saved and planned,
But no! You were the day dreamer,
the procrastinator, a live today
and to hell with tomorrow kind of man!
Now we must reap what we've sowed and that's
the result of your indecision and idle hands!

 This rising fear…
belongs to the man in the mirror.
