Keep Watch

Mark 13:30-37

This generation will not come to an end,
Until everything has become complete;
That is when Heaven and earth transcend,
As those who are chosen will be the elite.

But the words of Christ will never fade,
For they shall continue to echo through;
Those that ignored them and never paid,
For their sinful ways and letting continue.

That day nor the hour is still be unknown,
To all of the angels as well as the saints;
Not even Jesus Christ up on His throne,
Do not know exactly the time restraints.

Only our Heavenly Father knows for sure,
So take heed and ever mindful in prayer;
Being uncertain when a knock at the door,
And as you open, Christ is standing there.

Just as someone taking a very long jaunt,
With you being hired for a vigil to keep;
They would like to feel being confidant,
In coming home not finding you asleep.
