Practicing What You PreachJames 1:21-25 Put away all dirty behavior and impish evil, To engrave the Word of God into your soul; Since you have done the work of the devil, So go to our Heavenly Father for to console. Then be doers of the Word, not just to hear, Going into the world among others to teach; Spread the Good News of the joy and cheer, And by all means practice what you preach. If anyone who is a hearer rather than a doer, The messages merely passing right through; Just like if you were looking into a mirror, And not able to even see an image of you. For your mirrored image has faded away, As having a memory loss of what is heard; But living your life as God says everyday, Able to assist you with retaining His Word. With looking to true law will make you free, No longer in being under the bondage of sin; As you profess what you heard righteously, While you practice what you preach within.
