Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Owl's Eyes
Walking the beaten path,
Owl sounds off in my ears
And I run Home,
Where all is well
Physically,
But emotionally,
We're exhausted.
Everywhere I walked
On that trail,
Owl followed, Her big eyes,
The moons that followed me.
She's terrifying my heart.
She's freezing my blood.
She's everywhere.
She is the moon.
That path is littered
With pieces of wisdom,
And random ugliness.
This is my trail;
I occasionally run Home.
Briefly but Owl
Tells me to go back
And seeing as how
She's more brilliant than I,
I've never not heard Her warnings,
Even if they made me cry, made me gasp.
