M's Poetry
With "Friends" Like These....
You my friend are surrounded by yes men
willing to do anything and everything you ask them to
but don't think for a second
you know what they are capable of
don't get too cocky or ever too comfortable
just when you think can
they will throw the master off his throne
They will smile right in your face
pour that glass of wine
get that problem right off your back
but when it rears it's ugly head
you will be left holding the bag
I have watched you deteriorate right before my eyes
been pained to watch the train wreck
you currently have on display
I have tried reaching out
but to no avail....
quietly the knives have been sharpened
ready to insert into your back
I only pray you are strong enough to withstand the attack
maybe one day you will open your eyes
take the rose colored sunglasses off
and take inventory of your life
but sadly that would be the biggest surprise
