ONE DAY AT A TIME

SUCCESS

Some try hard to succeed and fail in doing so.
Some succeed, but have no clue as to how.
Understanding the true meaning of success,
has left some of us dry from all attempts.

Do not give up, is often said by many,
keep your head held up high,
walk straight ahead with dignity,
and never feel the shame of self-pride.

We must not turn our backs to the weak,
but instead, go forth and extend our hands,
as they are guiding tools for the fortunate,
to provide for those who are less fortunate.

Giving is a reward we can award ourselves,
saying you've tried your best will not suffice.
Identifying our sacrifices can be gratifying.
By struggling with ambition, success is timeless.
