Cryin' In Me Soup…

I was cryin' in me soup,
And did I cry and whine and sob,
Cos I'd been soaking me feet in a pond,
And my shoes were robbed by a dog!

I'd Put me shoes on the grass,
A dog legged them off in his gob,
I ran into the soup kitchen,
And I began to sob!

I was sittin' at the table,
And was still Cryin' in me soup,
They were all I had to keep me toes warm,
And my heart began to droop!

Suddnely I saw the thief,
Leggin' it down the street,
I jumped up, spilt me soup cup,
And burnt me poor, sore feet!

I legged it down the road,
Screamin' with all me might,
Stop that dog! I ranted and raved...
Cor blimey what a sight!

He got away, and I dawdled back...
To finish off me food,
And once again, was cryin' in me soup,
I was in an awful mood.

Then a knight in shinin' armour,
Sat down next to me,
Put a tenner in me hand,
He was a kind man you see.

I stopped cryin' in me soup,
The man got up to go back to his job,
All of a sudden, there it was,
That ruddy thievin' dog!

It stopped at his feet,
And the man looked back at me,
He gave me the money for me shoes...
Coz it's his ruddy dog you see!
