I Got Brave This Day…Today is the dawn of an era, My future's looking bright, I moved forward into the sunshine, And left behind the darkness of night! I found myself today you know, And yes, it's about time too… I faced the dragons in front of me, Finally, I knew what I had to do! I sat and pondered on my life, And came to a conclusion or two, I decided to take the task in hand, And did exactly what I aimed to do! So I did what had to be done, In order to save the day, And yes, it was a scary thing for me, But for me, there was no other way. I have no regrets and there are no reprisals, Nothing bad any more in my life, I will never regret a thing I have done, (Only the pain, heartache and strife)! But you see it's a bit like this, We only carry what we can bear… But I carried more than I should have, And it seemed no one even had a care! So I carried it all alone through my life, And worked through it all and eked out… My sad, bad and wicked and nasty past, I let it go, I threw it all out! Yes, I banished my past, And strived to reach my goal, And yes, I'm proud to say today, For once in my life, I am whole.
