Maintaining VigilanceI Thessalonians 5:1-9 About the times and order no need to say, For you have the knowledge of the Lord; Coming as a thief by night and not the day, As He to be carrying His righteous sword. If there seems to be peace and no danger, Then sudden destruction will come to us; A woman with birth pains seems stranger, If she went to the hospital taking the bus. You are not in the dark on a thief by night, Since you have been made totally aware; And are considered to be the sons of light, Maintaining a vigilance no matter where. So let us not rest but to be staying awake, For those who are drunk will fall asleep; But prepare ourselves not taking a break, For the end results shall abundantly reap. To put on the breastplate of faith and love, With a helmet of hope for our salvation; When the true purpose comes from above, As Jesus Christ returns for the jubilation.
