Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Berceuse

I could share something
With you, but nothing
Sexual.

I could show you my
Cultural roots,
My stomping grounds,
The infamous Tree.

Yeah it's still there,
Standing still.

But hurry, come with me,
Before modernization
Chops it down.

It's part of my heritage, ya know?

I would share my
Favorite places with you,
tell you how to get to the
Shore without
Taking the steps.

And the corner!
I'll bring you there too!

I'll show you a better sunset,
A better sky, but hurry,
Remember?
Pollution may cloud it up forever.

I'll take you to graves,
I'll walk you through cemeteries.
Don't be afraid.
The bodies are deep in the earth,
The souls are out doing
Better things than haunting graveyards, duh.

Let's show our
Conviviality to the elders,
The ancestors.

I'm going to take you
To ceremonies, don't worry.
I'll get it cleared
By the elders.

I'll owl dance you around a medicine wheel.

I won't bifurcate;
I won't split my personality.

This is all me.

I'll show you the cache of eagle feathers
My mom hides in the closet.

Shh! I don't know
Where she got them!

I will take you deep into
The forests of my backyard,
Together we'll hunt for
Owl feathers.

And then maybe you'll fall in love with me?
