…Because I'm So Saddened This Day…Well, I am sitting here this afternoon, Thinking and pondering away, And I'm floundering I really am, Because I'm so saddened this day! I don't ask for much in life!! All I want is a little release, From all this pain in my body, I'm just in need of a little peace!! I wonder about this body of mine, And get concerned at how it will fare, With all the serious problems it has, And it all seems just so bloody unfair!! It's battered from all quarters!! And I don't think it can take much more! Because it's had far more than it can take! There is always another nasty door! Well though I'm a little saddened this day; I told myself off, oh, but I did too! And picked myself up off the floor, And sorted in my head what I need to do! I need to get myself focused again! And stand tall and hold my head in pride! Because no matter what fate befalls me now, I am still here, and haven't yet died! I will just have to come to terms with the thing, That's hurting my heart this very day, And fight the good fight, and hold on tight! Because it won't alter the course no matter what I say! So though I'm a little saddened and angry, I am sure I will come up to scratch! And just like a game of chess, I will take this problem to task! And move the pieces around the board, To take the ones that are in my way! Fight the fight, as only I can do! And I will have ‘checkmate' this very day! Because if I don't do what I need to do, Then this game of chess is over before it's begun! And I will not concede to this game, no way! This is one game that I've always won!
