Written For A Religious Retreat
Jesus is with me and he wanted me to share his love with you! If he could speak to you, this is what he would say:
It's just you and me here alone tonight, so far away from the city lights. The moon and the stars are shining so bright, and they're all in your eyes. Walking along the water's edge, holding your hand in mine...Can you feel it now? Can you feel the love pounding in my heart? It's so quiet tonight that you can hear the river rolling. Birds are singing, but they're keeping it low. So, close your eyes and let the feelings flow right through me to you. It feels so wonderful! Soft breeze at the water's edge~I'm holding you close to me~and you feel it now~Oh, you feel the love pounding in my heart!
There's so much selfishness and hate in this world, but don't give up on me! I'm there for you in every rainbow, every hug, every sunset. Look for me in your companion's smiles...and in their tears.
I'm walking beside you every step of the way.
