PIC OF RIVER ==Copyright@mypoetry624I rest beside this river world. The silence in the mist rises From the meandering waters. A serenade begins its cacophony Of frogs, egrets, and a lone loon. The pull of the river is undeniable. I follow it along its well trodden path. It shows me the way. To an oasis of calm. Twists and turns bring new vistas to discover. I walk along the shore line. absorbing all I see and hear, In hopes that I may take with me The serendipity I have gathered. Again, I rest by its side. I am propelled back to the joys Of childhood and a distant river. A sweet melancholy descends upon me. And the silence in the mist Rises from the meandering waters Copyright@mypoetry624 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
