COPYRIGHT @JUPEYDarkness looms heavily overhead These young men they all lie dead All this blood that has been shed This war is now over Fires came to take the pain Then came clouds and black rain From a sky torched in vain This war is now over Birds they fell and creatures died Sons were killed and mothers cried Dead only living on in their children’s eyes This war is now over Blood and sweat, pain and tears Sent to die through a coward’s fears One whom declares war then disappears Is this war really over? Peace there is, as lands they burn But the one who starts it will never learn There is no winning: just taking turns This war is never over Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
