A ROSE'S PETALS

The Rose

SultryRose's Signatures

If my petals do not bloom,
I cannot Feel the sunshine upon all of me,
I cannot be a part of nature's beauty,
I cannot smile and brighten up my day,
I cannot breathe the air I so desire,
I cannot share my scent with my fellow mates.

So I pray each time I bloom,
For God's gracious grants,
To retain my precious petals,
Close them only at nightfall,
And awaken them as the sun rises,
For my wish is to keep on blooming,
Or I will shrivel up, fade away,
No one will pick me for their bouquet,
And never more will I  sparkle again.
