Shadow Play
Sunlight filters between the leaves
As a breeze tostles them to and fro
Sending images to dance upon the wall
Of a neighboring building…
I sit mesmerized at the wondrous display
Each section of the tree beautifully defined
Within this delightful “shadow play”.
The breeze grows silent, allowing but a moments rest
Before once again drawing the leaves into it's caress…
Ah yes, natures breeze…much like a lover
Taking his beloved into a passionate embrace,
Completely “wrapping up” in one another.
What a glorious delight within such simplicity…
A breeze among the trees creating summer's shadow play.
