Happy Fathers Day
Daddy,You loved Dolly Parton and she had
just became well known right before God
called you home...
"That's why this page is for you.
Hi Daddy,I'm sorry my poem is overdue,
Just wanted to make sure I told you all
that is new.
Your three Grandsons are all grown up and
time has just flown by,
You never got to meet them and that just makes
me want to cry.
Thirty years since I've seen your face and I still
remember your loving smile,
I looked at your picture the other day
wishing you were here the whole while.
You were only forty-six when God called you
home so long ago,
I was so very young at that time and if I didn't
say it enough I hope you know;
That I loved you so very much and you were
the greatest Dad,
When I think of how you always tried to protect
us I get both happy and sad.
Mom went way to young too and I like to think
you both met again,
I can't remember you as a couple on
earth but that's my romantic side kicking in.
So Happy Fathers Day Daddy,I love you and
give Mom a kiss from me,
Someday I will join you and I can just hope
it's as I imagine it to be.
