frozen

Close your eyes
And call yourself blind.
Linens stained with a story no one wants to hear.
Sprinkle my wounds with salt
And lick it away.
I watched u from the doorway across the street.
You said you could taste me,
From so far down,
Your dirty hands the only comfort I knew.
It felt so good to be lost,
Next to your flame.
Your eyes could never fathom,
The pain you loved from me,
Years of secrets washed away.
An unknowing quiet to the hate.
If only thanks could say what I want it to.
