 BLACK RIDER (Free Verse)

 Image

~Black Rider~
(Free Verse)

He always comes out, riding at night, the Black Rider
When the moon turns, from bright to dusty gold,
It seems not too many had seen a glimpse of his face.
And what he looks like, nobody really knows

The Black Rider wants to be all by himself
So he waits 'til the sky, turns to  angry black,
That's when the shadows all around him fall
But he's fearless, unafraid by now of anything.

With Raven, his most loyal companion,
Right by his side,
He draws in ever so softly the night
Again to his tormenteded heart and soul

Sometimes in the blindness of his
Foolish and never forgiving pride,
He rides off right into the night
And he has dreams and thoughts of only her!

But her letter today, just brought him
More shadows and pain instead,
No more with her awaits, bed of roses,
And for now, he shall keep, all his dreams in a jar
