May All Your Days Be Good Ones! When Autumn Leaves: When autumn leaves have fallen, And the leaves are soggy and brown, And they stick to your shoe, oh what a to-do! So you walk around with a frown! You wander through the garden, It's as muddy as can be! Your shoes are in a mess! Oh dearie, dearie me! The duck pond is a murky mess, There's twigs all over the place! And swimming in the middle of it… Is a kid with a filthy face! And conkers are lying everywhere, Shrewn all over the grass! And watch that bit of soggy mess! Or you might fall on your ass! And as the sun sets in the sky, The rain comes pelting down, And by the time you find shelter, You look like something drown! And as the dusk descends… Upon this parkland here, Watch your back, don't you slack! Or you may end up full of fear! Cos freaky things occur in the dark, Especially in the dead of night! So don't you slack, and never look back! Or you may die of fright! Cos goblins stalk you in the park, In the night, not in the day! So don't you worry if you get wet! As long as you live for another day! So let the rain come pelting down, And let the mud splash everywhere! Go on, leg it home, lose the goblin! Be safe! Oh dearie, dearie dear! Don't you worry, don't you fret! That goblin sure aint got you yet! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
