Dignity and Grace

the darkness is so haunting
so desperate, the tears are streaming down
everywhere i turn i'm fading
I act just like a clown
behind the smile is a seriously sad girl
never thought I could feel so low
just want to leave with dignity and grace
It's better for me to go
you don't really need me
you just think so, I've stayed too long
I can give you so much more
if I wasn't in this place
where everything is falling
and I can't grab onto anything
feels like the last dance
please give me a glance
one more chance to hold onto something more
maybe a glimmer of light
a last ray of hope
to lift me up from this place
with dignity and grace
