Musings by The Poet Loriet
Shades of Grey
My inner self is unreachable.
I can't bridge the gap
between dreams and duties.
Depression sinks in
even as I fight it.
I pop my pills
into my inner psyche,
waiting for the miracle
I need to transform...
the impossibility
clings to my aspirations
like a ball and chain,
dragging me back
through the mud
that I have
become
accustomed
to.
