Musings by The Poet Loriet
Tooth Fairy Gets Her Fill
Tooth Fairy Gets Her Fill
News Flash:
Tooth Fairy
has mental breakdown;
admits to being a kleptomaniac.
In an exclusive T.V. interview
with Katie Couric,
the winged thief
reassures us that her Paxil
is working well.
She was just
getting to the point
where mere teeth weren't enough.
It started with
a coloring book page
that struck her fancy.
Oh, just one page...
It was, after all,
a delicate little fairy picture
of one of her closest friends,
and she visualized the pretty pastels
she'd use to surprise her dear friend...
and she did--
It was exquisite!
She barely felt guilty
when a fight ensued
between the little girl
and her sisters
over, "WHO stole my picture?"
(and she thought she'd never miss it).
After that,
a McDonald's Happy Meal toy--
a sweet little sky fairy
that really flied!
Oh, how it would delight
the Tooth Fairy's OWN little girl--
and, after all,
It's not as if
the Tooth Fairy
can frequent drive-thru
without causing a huge commotion!
She had tried it once--
What a disaster!
She knew she needed help
when she encouraged
Suzie Smilemaker's
sweet little Bichon Frise,
Snownball,
to follow her home.
A little fairy dust,
and Snowball truly WAS
a natural at flying--
such a friendly dog!
She knew Suzie would miss
her faithful canine friend,
but by tooth #10,
the Tooth Fairy and Snowball
were the best of pals!
When the fairy police
came to get her,
she went silently,
knowing she had gone too far!
She wants to publicly apologize
to all the families
that she has hurt.
She's recieving unemployment
and remains on medical leave
until further psychiatric evaluation.
Applications are being taken
in person M-F, 9 to 5
at the enamel palace--
Inquire within.
