The Power of Faith

John 6:60-69

Christ said things being offensive to some,
Just as with returning to whence He came;
For the flesh has no value and only scum,
Being filled with worldly lusts and shame.

As the spirit is a force as a giver of life,
Giving life to the words that Christ spoke;
But some of no faith and are full of strife,
Since they thought of Him merely as a joke.

Some believed not and one even betrayed,
But decided to just come along for the ride;
Unknowingly that their spirit has decayed,
Since their marginal faith has nearly died.

No one comes to Christ without the power,
That God gives those with faith so strong;
Falling on you from Heaven like a shower,
And causing your heart with singing a song.

While some have the desire to fade away,
And in not wanting to be sharing the light;
For they are wrapped up in things to stray,
Unaware that eternal life is not in sight.
