Seven Slimy Serpents
Seven slimy serpents
Slithered slowly south,
Seeking Simple Simon
Sewing silken socks!
Twenty tiny tigers
Taking time to talk,
Teased timid Trevor
Taking tall tick-tocks!
Fifty fighting firemen
Fixing fire flames,
Fried fourteen fishes
For Friday's famous feast!
Bashful baby bulldogs,
Biting broken bones,
Blew brilliant bugles
Before big blue beasts!
Clever, crawling catfish
Claiming crying crabs,
Caught caterpillars
Carefully climbing cats!
Heaving happy hippos,
Hauling heavy hips,
Helped hazy humans
Holding horrid hats!
Joy Weare.
