Making A Wish
O' sweet star way up high
I send my wish from heart to sky
Give length to arms so they may reach
To enfold him in my embrace so sweet
Give clarity now to my loving eyes
That have clouded over from tear and sigh
So just this once I may see his smile
That has held me enraptured all the while
Give wings to a heart so it may fly
To the treasured love awaiting nigh
Let it travel free from earthly bound
Make it brighter than light, faster than sound
Just one more wish I beg be granted
For seeds of love have since been planted
Oh how this heart silently pleads to go
To my dear one that I love so
