These ones I love

The Lonely Heart

Young maiden sits in castle far
Gazing out at the Evening Star.
On silent flight, a wish she sends-
A prince; her loneliness to end.

Her heart empty, her spirit scarred
Young maiden sits in castle far.
Her plea is for that one true love
To free her soul like yonder dove.

He need not be fair or have coin,
But at the heart strings they must join.
Young maiden sits in castle far-
Her dreams hinged on one falling star.

The loneliness a badge she wears-
A beauteous face marred by tears.
Crying out for one tiny star-
Young maiden sits in castle far.
