A Deceptive PrideProverbs 11:1-6 The scales of deceit are hated by the Lord, But true weight is of joy in His delight; For if truth is kept hidden it is deplored, Allowing fraud to prevail within His sight. Just like with pride can bring much shame, That could leave you so audaciously rude; But the Godly wisdom is like a quiet flame, As it gives your spirit a humble attitude. Allow your righteousness to be your guide, As you journey through life on its path; It can be your friend in life if you abide, If not you could stray and face His wrath. Wealth will have no profit on Judgment Day, God won't take a bribe on your last breath; The upright have safe passage all the way, By-passing a detour that others see death. Your righteousness keeps you moving ahead, As sin will cause you to stumble and fall; Think of your salvation as God has said, For in the end Satan can deceive your call.
