Musings by The Poet Loriet

Cosmic Womb

Life
flows through three vessels--

two veins, one artery~
pulsing rope of miracles

to the somersaulting,
fluid-imbibing

wonder

with trophy feet
the size of acorns.

Love child
travelling towards light
at birth and death,
star of hope,
conceived on
a full moon
Friday.

Spark of the universe~
you are milky way
judgement,
caressed
with vernix.

Ruler of Venus,
pink roses
blossom
from
fleshy hips.

She kisses you
goodbye,
scattering your
ashes
into the eye
of a tropical storm.

Swish, swish,
like the placenta--
Twirling and dancing!
A crown of stars
floats above
tender fontanels,
cornsilk hair
still streaked with
Mama's life-
giving blend
of all that's
pure.

Fetus,
from Orion's Belt,
re-emerges,
draped
in glittering skin cells
as the sunbeams
kiss the clouds.
