so I say.....last night
We met last night once again*
*most likey knowing how it would end*
*Never meant to do that to you*
*Or do the things we let us do
* stayed awake for things to be said*
* instead Took that time to fall in bed*
*Built our hopes, pricked our hearts*
*once again, Forsook the lives we meant to start*
* * *I needed him to say yes*
*So that I could at last be me*
*So that he could at last be willing to see*
*I needed him to say yes...but not about that*
*We let the world tell us what's right*
*Could never make it through the night*
Without the touch of your skin*
*That I dont NEED to feel again* * *
*But if what we had was real*
*Then God let us make a deal*
*Take this girl hold her hand*
*Show him how to understand* * *
*I needed him to say yes*
*So that I could at last be me*
*So that he could at last be willing to see *
*I needed him to say yes...but not about that*
*Best of both worlds was the plea*
*There's only One, and He's in me*
*Could serve both God and man*
*And complete a perfect plan*
