From the beginning I gave you my heart
I promised I would stay true I realized from that point on All the love in my heart belonged to you You were the first guy I could trust Since I was hurt in the past It was hard for me to trust anyone But falling in love with you came so fast In the beginning you showed affection You showed how much you cared When I needed someone to talk to You would always be there You never tried to impress me You were comfortable being yourself Although in the beginning You were afraid to express how you felt Your kisses and your hugs The way you would say " I love you " The way you comforted me I knew our love was true Our love was so strong then Nothing could tear us apart Then all of a sudden I felt the love fading from your heart Everyone has arguements Knowing that the love is still there I slowly began to realize You were starting to no longer care What went wrong in our relationship In the beginning it was great I always asked you to try harder But now it's just too late Usually when I would call You would answer the phone Now when I call It's like your never home why are you ignoring me what did I do wrong All I ever tried to do Was make sure our love stayed strong In the beginning we were so happy A love that was so true I'm sick and tired of you causing me pain So I'm sorry, I'm breaking up with you CRYSTAL MARTINEZ Vote for this poem |
