Musings by The Poet Loriet
Serendipity's Solo
Serendipity,
I believe in you.
When the stars align
in a magical constellation,
and the cosmos birth kismet,
will you send him to me?
Will I recognize
the guiding hands of fate,
as they lead my soulmate,
in a dance through
my secret garden?
Will he be enchanted enough
to look past the thorns,
brush bramble, weeds...
and forge onward,
seeing only the
blossoming fertile unity
meant to be nourished
by us
alone?
Come, my love,
let us find eternal bliss.
I want to be as giddy
as untamed mustangs
galloping through meadows,
free as naked toddlers at play.
I want to taste the ocean
in your salty kisses,
see the stars in your eyes,
feel the thunder in your legs,
the fire in your embrace.
Unsettle my heart
with whirlwind romance.
Leave me gasping
for essential breath,
dizzy with the belief
that I can fly.
Lover, take me in your arms.
Come out from your hiding place
to stand by my side.
I know you're out there.
I've always known
you.
My soul sings your song,
serenades yours at night.
I visit you when I dream.
You'll recognize my touch,
know my heart in an instant.
We were destined
to be together~
soulmates.
My wings are unfurled,
accepting the night sky.
Like the moon to the sun,
I'm sending my hopeful light
rippling across eternity,
waiting for answers that
transcend all obstacles
and time.
Serendipity,
I believe in you.
Do you still believe in me?
