AS EVENING FALLS

AS EVENING FALLS
Here as I gaze to yonder sun,
As seas gently flow to shore,
I think of thee within my heart,
The love that I do true adore.
The wonderment of what could be,
If seas where not so vast,
A love to touch to be with me,
For we could be at last.
So close to me yet oh so far,
Tis where my love doth lay,
Beyond horizons I can see,
But still this love does stay.
As the sun sets in the sky,
Within its colours hue,
The beauty of our love it seems,
Doth shine for me and you.
With the breeze that moves your way,
To thee I blow my kiss,
For there upon the distant shores,
My love she waits for this.
And with the kiss a whisper,
Gentle and so soft,
To tell you how I love thee,
My love that's not forgot.
