Who's To Say…?Who's to tell us how to behave! And add decorum to our life, No laughter allowed, in case you embarrass, And forever living in strife!! Life is for the individual, To choose what way to live and grow, And if anyone has an issue with that, Then they should just pick up and go! Some people are allergic to wheelchairs! And are loath to go about… With a wheelchair as part of the package, Well that's not something to be proud about! I'm not something to be ashamed of! For I am a person in my own right! Just because I use a wheelchair, Do I hide and stay out of sight? No! I have an abundance of love around me, And friends in plenty that's true, I live my life the way I want… For it's the right thing to do! No-one has the right to be ashamed of me! And no-one is forced to be in my life, Free choice that's what it is, No more the woman in strife! For the sun always shines again, And the sky always turns blue… We choose the path we take, And do what we have to do. It is never to late to start over, For we take it one day at a time, And all of a sudden, you're through a new door, And once more you'll be feeling fine! You see, we are all different, What one does the other may not… So where one can start a life anew… Others would rather make do with what they've got. ..Not Me… …Never Me… …It Was But A Matter Of Time… …It Was Time… Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
