 Run Cliff Run!

katydid, Joy and Michelle
Were tired of that awful smell.
They all thought and wondered if,
That wicked waft was teasing Cliff!

They got together and all tried
To search that man far and wide.
They all dressed in their old clothes
And each girl followed their cute nose!

They could not find him in by the lake
Or in the cafe eating cake.
They could not find him by the sea,
Or in the garden sipping tea!

They could not find him by the stream
Or at tennis eating strawberries and cream.
They could not find him in the bath
Or picking daisies by the path!

They could not find him in the shower
Or in the garden smelling flowers.
They could not find him by the sink
Or reading books that make one think!

They could not find him at the pool
Or at the party dancing cool.
They could not find him near the tap
Or with a cat upon his lap.

Then they heard a whistling sound
That made them quickly turn around.
There he was with wicked grin
Searching deep inside a bin!

katydid, Joy and Michelle
At last had found that funny smell.
They found the tap and hosed Cliff down,
Then left him screaming on the ground!

Joy Weare.
