Godly Preaching

I Corinthians 1:17-21

Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach,
As a poet of Good News not with wisdom;
Of the value of the cross for me to teach,
As your gateway to the Heavenly Kingdom.

The Word of the cross might seem absurd,
Those who are foolish just out to destroy:
As to us with Salvation from the Holy Word,
They can never remove the feeling of joy.

As it is written ending wisdom to the wise,
Bringing no understanding to the prudent;
For the knowledge of the law is in disguise,
Pertaining to God and not being compliant.

The purpose of God as well as the world,
With all its wisdom but of no knowledge;
It's for His pleasure that a rock is hurled,
Around the sun in space without any damage.

Is it so foolish in preaching salvation?
For those who have faith enough to believe;
That God had given Christ as a foundation,
And there is eternal life for us to receive.
