Our High Priest

Hebrews 7:20-26

It is not proper without taking an oath,
If you want to follow Christ as a priest;
In being committed to spiritual growth,
And showing allegiance to say the least.

It is so much better through Jesus Christ,
In having an agreement that is iron clad;
Show your appreciation as He sacrificed,
His own life so you would not be so sad.

A great number of priests I tell you true,
Death keeps them from going on forever;
But this priest that now stands before you,
As His life is unchanging never to sever.

He is fully capable with being the Savior,
Of all who comes to God through Him;
If they do believe with the right behavior,
He is living for prayer if things are grim.

It is right to have such a priest so high,
One who is holy and without any sin;
And shall forever be our Heavenly ally,
And to cleanse us pure and white within.
