Who's Disabled Then?

For the IDIOT!
Who stopped me in a supermarket car park;
Looked me up and down;
Glared at me as he pointed; And said;
‘You have no right to live!  You are a waste of space!'

*******************

The ones in the chair are not always the disabled!
Sometimes it's the person, who looks on,
Makes clever comments, tries to upset,
By things both said and done!

And though we have wheels for feet,
To get us out and about,
It doesn't mean we are a waste of space,
Of that there is no doubt!

God never said He would make everyone the same,
For no-one's the same as another you see,
There is no perfection for we are what we are,
And we are all that He wanted us to be!

So yes, the man who tried to hurt me that day,
Has a disability of the mind…
For all he saw, when he looked at me…
Was a waste of a life-a life in bind!

But - I am not a waste of space!
More, I am strong and true!
Because all that I am, and the way that I am,
Makes me as human as God made me true!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
And I am beheld by God above!
He who gave me this path I walk…
Is the God above who I worship and love!

No, it's not a curse, not at all-
But a blessing He bestowed on me!
For he gave me the wisdom to know who I am,
And I am all that He wants me to be!

And the ones in the chair are the same as you,
They just need a little help getting around,
But look to the person, not to the chair,
And see what a gem it is you've found!

A jewel in the eyes of God…
For God made us as perfect as can be,
And all that we are, is all that we are,
Simply because of; He
