I felt you growing inside of me
Growing and changing
And loving me
We lived as one for nearly a year
And then you were gone
And I was left here
I didn't expect them
to take you from me
I never imagined that I wouldn't see
Your face, or your smile
Your eyes soft and blue
I never imagined not talking to you
Time heals all wounds
Or so they say
But I'll never heal
from the pain of that day
When they asked me to name you
Then took you away
And I never saw you
Or touched your sweet face
They took you away and left pain in your place
