How My Heart Does Break

Put a big smile on your face
act like a snake
slither your way into this heart
so beating and happy
destroy one vein at a time
make it uncontrollably bleed
because after all you got the charm
and I never had the smarts
up until now to figure you out
but it just too damn late
how my heart does break

how my heart does break
you littered it with poison
told me I was the chosen
that I could love you
and I could trust you
the raw deal stinks
just now I am smelling it
a little bit too late dear
oh man how my heart breaks

You make me secure
say all the right things
your touch how much I did love
the set-up was already taking place
you painted me into this small corner
now all the apologies just won't do
it's not the truth
and I am not that stupid
but despite all these facts
I can't help but mourn
my head is cluttered
and wow how my heart still breaks

there is no second chances
and I am all out of words
you didn't even deserve that much
silence can be your reminder
in all that you had is lost
never ever to be found
how my heart still breaks
even when I think about it now.....
